Game fishing in Thailand has always provided anglers
with a challenging experience. However, Thailand has not been known
for it's incredible Game Fishing. There as been very little done in
terms of advertising this exciting haven for anglers around the world.
A There are several reputable Thai fishing captains
and a half dozen qualified professional fishing guides. Most of the
guides will provide rods, reels, tackle, and bait. However, your are
more than welcome to bring your own gear should you desire to do so.
You will most likely be able to arrange to go fishing with these
professional guides any day of the week. The boat costs
are paid for by the fishermen. Most boats leave around 8:00 a.m.
or as agreed, and return at approximately 6:00 p.m. There are
overnight fishing trips available. This is good for catching larger
fish.
Almost all of the charters are on board traditional
Thai fishing boats, ranging up to 18 meters in length, providing the
customer not only with good fishing, but also a bit of historic Thai
culture. Worthy sized sharks, skates, rays, sailfish, barracuda, and
cobia, are a few of the many varieties abundant in the waters, a 120
kg Eagle Ray and a 50 kg Sailfish was landed! A fishing trip in Thailand
is one, you will always remember.
